Space Tug

It may surprise you, but space tug was first used in a sci-fi book, and NASA created the first concept of real reusable space tug in the late '60s, so it no longer sounds like a fantasy. But I didn't even think that someone besides NASA, SpaceX, and other leaders of the current space race can manufacture such spacecraft. Why aren't they used widely now?

Space tug - sounds like a fantasy TV series. But this is a really existing mechanism. With a very wide range of applications. From Correcting satellite or spacecraft orbit to transferring payloads into lunar orbit and interplanetary missions and more. You can find an example here.
